The so called Shiva eye shell is actually the protective door of a special type of shellfish called the turban snail, which is found in tropical seas. At the end of the turban snail's life, the door opens, revealing a beautiful spiral pattern on the inside, which gives the shell its name, Shiva eye. On the outside, a striking array of green and brown colors is revealed. From
