This is an outstanding framed portrait of an Imperial German officer, identified on the back of the frame as Oberleutnant Erwin Bubenhofer of Das Wrttembergische Feldartillerie Regiment Konig Karl (1. Wurtt.) Nr. 13. The frame itself measures 8 x 10, but the soldier attached the planchet and ring of his EKII, Iron Cross 2nd Class to the top of the frame, and used the ribbon in the bottom right corner of the interior,
